Our Methodology
How we test every tool before publishing a word.
We buy the tool ourselves
We pay for tools out of pocket or use free tiers. We do not accept free accounts, review copies, or early access in exchange for coverage.
Minimum 30 days of real use
Every tool is used on real projects — actual writing assignments, coding tasks, research work — for at least 30 days before we write a word.
Structured evaluation criteria
We rate on five axes: output quality, reliability and uptime, speed, pricing value, and interface usability. Weights are consistent across every review.
Affiliate links are added after review
Ratings and content are finalized before we add affiliate links. A tool's affiliate program status has zero influence on its score.
Published with a timestamp
AI tools change fast. Every review carries a published date and last-tested date. We re-test annually and update whenever a major version ships.

InkVerse participates in affiliate programs operated by the companies whose tools we review. When you click a link on this site and purchase a subscription or product, we may receive a commission — at no additional cost to you.
This commission is how we fund independent testing. It does not influence our editorial opinions. Scores and verdicts are finalized before affiliate links are added. We do not adjust ratings, omit negative findings, or write favorable conclusions because a company offers an affiliate program.
Articles with affiliate links are marked at the top with a visible disclosure notice, as required by the FTC's Endorsement Guides (16 CFR Part 255).
